Medysnbegins withthe patient.

New therapeutic approaches for overlooked patient needs.

Our approach

The patient is
our starting point.

Medysn (pronounced “medicine”) is an early-stage life sciences company exploring new therapies and therapeutic technologies for conditions with unmet treatment needs.

We bring patient observations together with scientific evidence to define therapeutic concepts for further research and development.

  1. 01

    Listen to the patient.

Begin with treatment gaps and symptoms that significantly affect daily life.

  2. 02

    Follow the evidence.

Translate those observations into a defined therapeutic question, informed by the available scientific evidence.

  3. 03

    Define the next step.

Consider the expertise, clinical feasibility, and resources needed to evaluate the concept.

Current work

Neuromodulation for appetite-related symptoms.

Our founding concept began with a patient need: persistent appetite-related symptoms and nausea.

Medysn’s founder-developed protocol explores transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation, or taVNS, as a potential therapeutic approach.

Discuss the research

Proposed clinical research

The research question
Evaluate potential effects on appetite-related symptoms and nausea.
Intended initial population
People experiencing cancer-associated cachexia.
Next step
We are working toward a pilot study to evaluate the concept.

Research interests

Areas we’re
exploring.

Patient needs guide the opportunities we explore across related areas of biology. These interests are areas of exploration, rather than active development programs.

The origin of Medysn

The experience
behind Medysn.

Medysn was founded by Dylan Cloud following his experience living with complex chronic conditions and navigating fragmented care.

Persistent appetite-related symptoms led him to develop Medysn’s first neuromodulation concept. His experience continues to shape the therapeutic questions Medysn explores.
